日頃みなさんが使っている竹弓。本当の竹弓の扱い方や性質をご存知でしょうか。ぜひ弓作りの現場で弓師の生の声、本音を聞きながら弓作りに挑戦しませんか？
自身の弓作りを通して、ありのままの竹弓の本質を理解する機会を設けたいと思っております。

Takeyumi(bamboo bow) is used by many Kyudo players but do you really know its nature and how to handle it? Let’s challenge to make a Takeyumi by Yumi-shi (bow craftman)’s assistance at his workshop. You may hear his real voice and thoughts through the making process. We would like to create an opportunity for you to understand what Takeyumi really are.

内容　　：弓製作の実体験。一人一張りの製作
日時　　：8/10 – 8/16の七日間
実地場所：柴田勘十郎弓店
宿泊場所：京都市内宿泊施設
参加定員：先着10名前後
参加費用：189,000円(弓一張り・宿泊〈シングル希望追加費用有〉食事込み)

Lodging ：accommodations in Kyoto-city
Capacity：about first-come 10 persons
Cost      ：189,000 Yen (including one Takeyumi and accommodations fee inclusive meal (additional fee for a single room request))

※宿泊場所から仕事場に通い、弓製作のはじまりから終わりまでを弓師の解説・補助を受けて実用可能なレベルに仕上げます。
なお、各々製作した弓は持ち帰って頂けます。小村取りをご希望の方は後日個々に指導を行う予定です。
作業の大半はご自身で行って頂きますが、弓打ちと台張りは弓製作の生命線となるため、弓師が解説を交えつつ行います。

※You go to the workshop from your accommodations every day. You will complete a practical level Takeyumi by Yumi-shi’s explanation and assistance throughout the bow making. You can take it back to home of course. Those who would like to do “Komura-tori”, please let us know. We will individually teach you how to do it at a later date.
You do the most part of bow making except for two processes(Yumiuchi and Daihari) which are particularly important in the bow making. Yumi-shi demonstrates the two instead of you.
